Hi, my name is Jackson Hartley.
I am a 21-year old with a passion for film and the outdoors. I have traveled all over to film and I’ve been lucky enough to have some crazy adventures filming friends, family and clients hunting, fishing, backpacking and skiing.
My Accomplishments
I am a Freshman at Dixie State University, In high school I had worked on countless projects for my school’s videography team, Uknighted. I have also been blessed with opportunities to compete in student film competitions at the state and national level.
At the TSA (Technology Student Association) state competition, I earned 1st Place in Digital Video Production and at the SkillsUSA state competition I eared 2nd place in the Commercial Broadcasting category.
At the national level, I represented my school twice in the All-American High School Film Festival. In my junior year, I took 5th place in the nation in the “3 Day Shootout” category. In my senior year, I was the director of our team that placed 2nd in the nation in the “Broadcast Journalism” category.
Even though I’m still young, I have been given opportunities to work on projects such as filming and editing an episode of BYUTV’s Story Trek. I was also asked to make a video for Adobe promoting their 2019 Adobe Max Conference.
I have had multiple opportunities to film and produce videos from political events, and am currently shadowing a former Speaker of the Utah House of Representatives along the campaign trail in order to make a documentary about his race for governor.
What can I offer?
Though I am still learning and developing as a filmmaker, my passion and my commitment to quality make up for the fact that I am still young. I work hard every day, and on every job, to develop skills both behind the camera and in post-production. I can film, edit, color grade, and help boost your social media presence.
